Championing Operational Best Practices
A key component of Swiss Post Solutions' culture of excellence is our Best Practices Group, a team of industry professionals who provide hands–on support to our Site Managers. Swiss Post Solutions is Going Green!
Swiss Post Solutions kicked off our "Going Green!" environmental initiative on Earth Day 2008. The initiative, which is being championed by a team of employees in the SPS corporate headquarters, has the goal of reducing the company's "carbon footprint" through increased recycling, reduced consumption of resources, and use of environmentally-friendly products.
As part of the kick–off, each employee in the headquarters office received a reusable "Going Green" travel mug (made of recycled plastic and 100% biodegradable) to use in place of paper cups and water bottles. The team is selling nylon tote bags for folks to carry and use in place of plastic shopping bags, with proceeds from this and other fund-raisers going to the MillionTreesNYC fund, which has the goal of planting one million trees in the five boroughs of New York City over the next ten years. In addition, the Green Team will continue to launch new initiatives each month to promote ways for our employees and clients to "go green" at work and at home.

SPS Hosts Industry Knowledge Event
Swiss Post Solutions is committed to sharing the latest industry knowledge and trends with our clients and friends. Recently, we hosted more than 200 guests at an Industry Knowledge Event, featuring trade show-style exhibits and presentations by author Dr. Stephen G. Payne.
More than a dozen of our business partners joined us to share news, products and information, while Dr. Payne, author of First Rule of Leadership, spoke on the topic of "Leadership Success in an Outsourced World".

Our "Hands On" Attitude!
A team of Swiss Post Solutions employees recently joined more than 6000 volunteers for the 14th Annual Hands On New York Day. The event, which was sponsored by New York Cares, brings volunteers together to help revitalize New York City parks, gardens, playgrounds, schools, community centers and homeless shelters.
The Swiss Post Solutions team worked on three projects in Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park: planting flowers, painting a mural, and repairing hills damaged by erosion. "Active corporate citizenship is an integral part of the Swiss Post Solutions philosophy," said Mitchell D. Weiner, CEO, North America. "I am proud of the efforts of our team and applaud their commitment to our community."
